The chorus does not have any formal auditions. What typically happens is that you sing along with the chorus and if you can follow the director for cutoffs and entrances, stay on pitch, and blend, you will be successful. If it doesn't work out, the director will be discreet and work with you separately, or will recommend that this chorus may not be the best fit for your vocal abilities.
If you don't know what range you sing in (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone or bass) the director will listen to you sing and suggest the best section that fits your voice range. If you have a wide range, the director may ask you to support a section that needs more voices. Alternatively, if you have always sung soprano and want to experiment with alto, we encourage you to have fun experimenting with a different section and grow your musicality.
The chorus rehearses every Monday from 6:30 - 8:30. We meet in the chapel of Allegria Village. Please contact us to find out further details for entering Allegria Village grounds.
