Haleigh Willingham is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Haleigh attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she performed with the "Million Dollar Band," UA Symphonic Band, UA Wind Ensemble, and UA Clarinet Choir. Ms. Willingham transferred to Samford University in Birmingham where she received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education. During her undergraduate career at Samford, Haleigh performed with the Samford Bulldog Marching Band, Samford Symphonic Band, Samford Orchestra, Samford Wind Ensemble and the Alabama Intercollegiate Honor Band. While completing course work for her Master's degree, Haleigh wrote drill for and taught the Samford Bulldog Marching Band, as well as, conducted both the Samford Symphonic band and Wind Ensemble. Also while working on her Master's degree, Haleigh held the position of Assistant Band Director for Bragg Middle School in Gardendale, Alabama and was a Resident Advisor at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Haleigh is currently in her third year as head band director at Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama. She is a member of the Alabama Music Educators' Association, the National Association for Music Educators, and the National Educators' Association. Currently Haleigh performs with and co-conducts the Flying Bricks Community Band in Thomasville, Alabama.
