The "Flying Bricks" Community Band, based in Thomasville, Alabama, is an all-volunteer organization. The band is sponsored by the Arts Council of Thomasville, and the organization is open to all musicians in the area interested in traditional concert band music. Not surprisingly, this diverse band is comprised of musicians of all ages and backgrounds.

The band performs annually for various events throughout the area, including Christmas and Independence Day concerts, the area honor band concert, and other concerts, often featuring special guests. In addition, several of our members play for area events and serve as "pit musicians" for various musicals throughout the year. The band began under the direction of Jimmy Gunn, Former director of Thomasville High School Band.
