Above are The DeHavens at their cottage (1921).
These old images provided by James W. DeHaven.
The Bangor Reminder paper reported that Levi and Flora DeHaven were spending the summer there (1912); and they remodeled it (1918). Levi owned the DeHaven stores in Lawrence and Bangor, MI.
Cottage was built in 1906 by Cornelius DeCook.
When Levi (1852-1935) died he had outlived his wife, and his three sons: Carmon (1883-1918), Leslie (1887-1919) and
Clarence (1880-1934). Cottage passed to his grandson, Cecil (1911-1972).
