Uses a single channel to sequence:
Day Operation: Night Operation:
1. Navigation lights, plus 1. Navigation lights, plus
2. Red Strobe/Beacon, or 2. Red Strobe/Beacon, or
3. Taxi and Red Strobe/Beacon, or 3. Taxi and Red Strobe/Beacon, or
4. White Strobe/Beacon and Landing, or 4. Red Strobe/Beacon and Landing, or
5. White Strobe/Beacon 5. Red Strobe/Beacon
Day/Night operation is simply determined from channel position on power up.
Also has a mechanical switch to continuously but weakly illuminate the white strobes for night flying orientation.
This works by simply using a transmitter channel to either increase sequence number by moving the stick/lever one way and decreasing the sequence number by moving it the other i.e. moving the stick up turns on the navigation lights, moving it up again adds the Red Strobe/beacon, again adds the Taxi lights and so on.
