1.1 - Do not be on fire at any time, if you are on fire then extinguish yourself immediately
1.2 - Don't use tools unless you're sure you know how to do so safely. If you see someone working in an unsafe way, it's your duty to stop them and let them know.
1.3 - Don't defeat or hack safety features/equipment. This is for other people's safety as much as yours.
1.4 - If in any doubt what so ever, ask. We are all here to learn and teach safely.
1.5 - No whinging. If something is broken, fix it. If you can't fix it, tell a member of the Admin Team ASAP. This applies to equipment and to the building, we are all responsible for the upkeep of this aging building.
1.6 - Do not treat the Hackspace like your home, it is a shared space. Sleeping anywhere on Hackspace property is expressly forbidden.
1.7 - Equipment should be treated with care and respect. If a tool is damaged while you're using it, you must inform a member of the Admin Team. If you damage a tool due to misuse, you may be asked to contribute money towards its replacement or repair, so please show respect.
1.8 - Members are allowed to store personal items in the space, but they must be kept in one of the Storage Boxes, labelled with your name and membership number. Max one box per member.
1.9 - Larger/more items may be allowed, but please note that space is limited. You must check with Admin Team first.
1.10 - If you're leaving something and you would rather it was not mercilessly ripped apart, please label it accordingly, or put it in your Storage Box.
1.11 - Likewise, if something looks expensive or useful please don't mercilessly rip it apart without asking first.
1.12 - Don't remove tools from the space without asking the mailing list first.
1.13 - Library is for use of all Hackspace members, however if you wish to take a book offsite please ask permission from Admin Team first.
1.14 - Workbenches should be completely clean when you leave - be considerate for the next user. Please put tools back where you found them.
1:15 - Kitchen is shares with the other users of the townhall, please make sure to wash and dry your dirty crockery/cutlery before leaving the space. Don't leave it in the sink or anywhere other than the cupboard you took it from.
1:16 - Any items left on a workbench overnight not marked become fair game. Put your stuff back in your box.
1:17 - If you have engaged in any waste generating activity (e.g. peeling wires, welding, grinding etc), hoover the spot.
1:18 - If you think something should be thrown out, you should probably post to the list about it.
1:19 - All visitors must be signed in an out of the space by an appropriate member.
