The Unanswered Letter: One Holocaust Family's Desperate Plea - this is a book about my grandfather's brother's attempt to flee Nazi-occupied Austria, the author's research, which took her to many places including my Vienna Room , what happened to various members of the family, and how it impacted the author. Quite compelling but published by a creepy right wing publisher, so if you're inclined to get it, go to the library or order from an independent book store.

A recently (2021) discovered set of cousins! Mouna Mounayer (and her sister Maya and mother Bonnie). Mouna and I met through Ancestry, then on zoom, and finally in person in Vienna in September 2022. Mouna's great great grandfather Moritz Wulkan was my great grandfather. Mouna has been on a many-year quest (see her fabulous blog) to learn who her grandfather George Wulkan was (not the person she grew up thinking was her maternal grandfather). George would have been my father's first cousin but I never heard of him. I was the first actual Wulkan who she met. Together, Mouna and I found one of the houses George lived in -- a remarkable building called "the chocolate house" because of its elaborate art deco dark bronze reliefs on its facade.
