Introduction

My name is Felicity and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Lewes. I have a lot of experience and training in childcare and aim to provide the best possible experience for you and your children.  

I live in central Lewes in a large house with a large garden. My mother, brother, sister-in-law, baby nephew and two daughters live with me. We have 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits and 4 hens down the garden.

My aim is to provide a warm and welcoming environment and treat all children individually. 

I will encourage children to enjoy and achieve through play, activities and trips out into the wider community which in turn will give them new skills for the future.

I am a trained primary school teacher and have taught in a wide variety of settings from reception to year 3. I also have experience teaching in a local Montessori nursery school. I have an Ofsted approved Paediatric first aid course, and have completed training in Food Safety and Hygiene so that I can provide cooked meals safely for the children. I am a trained SENCO (Special Needs) and monitor all children's progress, adapting activities, routine and environment to suit individual needs. I have completed a Health and Safety course and do regular risk assessments on my home, activities provided and outings taken. I continue to undertake regular courses to enhance my professional development. Recently completed courses include Child Development aged 0-2, EYFS (Early Years and Foundation Stage) in Action before the Reception Year, Supporting the development of PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development).
