Course Code: MTH941 (new) or MAS941 (old)
Content: non-standard problems from calculus, algebra, number theory, combinatorics, sometimes analysis and probability.
Activities: tutorials with vivid discussions, home assignments, Euler's Maths Competition. The idea is to have one assignment every week that includes three easy questions, an average, and a hard one. However, the terms 'easy', 'average', and 'hard' are understood loosely and the actual difficulty of questions may be severely misjudged by the instructor.
Marking scheme: 50% for assignments, 30% for being active in class, 20% for Euler's Competition.
