Ribera Vineyards

Ribera Vineyards is a family-owned winery in West Linn. First planted by Molly & Darrel Roby in 2000, the vineyard produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Our award-winning Willamette Valley winery is known for its small batch wines that perfectly express the region’s unique terroir.

Darrel and Molly Roby grew up in the Willamette Valley and raised their two children here. When vineyard-ready land in West Linn became available, the couple decided to take their love of wine a few steps further and plant pinot noir and chardonnay vines. Ribera Vineyards first vintage resulted in just 80 cases of wine. Working side-by-side with skilled winemakers over the years, Molly and Darrel learned the business one day, and one harvest, at a time.

Molly’s Vineyard and Ribera’s new tasting room are located just outside the Urban Growth Boundary in near suburban West Linn. Surrounded by a vast array of Oregon Pine, the ancient dirt, in combination with the slope, is extremely quick draining. All vines are dry-farmed and tended organically.

Dry farming our vines allows their roots to make a journey towards a water source deep below the surface of the ground. This journey takes time and energy from the vines and we believe the kinetics of the process produce grapes of great complexity.
