Dennis Farm

The Elligsen farmhouse was built in 1866 on its original sight at the turn off at SW Elligsen Road, Wilsonville. The farm house is one of the oldest homestead house in the area. In June 1983 the house was donated by Ralph Elligsen to Dale and Margaret Dennis, who moved the house about a mile down the road onto their organic pick up farm. The two-story house was moved under power lines and, to avoid damaging trees, across a neighbor’s field. Dale and Margaret have passed but the house and history live on.
