Teaching Experience

I spent a year and a half as an educational assistant in a 2nd and 3rd grade special education classroom. I did inclusion and pull-out groups in this position as well as lesson planning.

This summer will be my second year of doing ESY (summer school for students in special education). I work with students who have higher physical and intellectual needs.

During my last semester of student teaching, I entered in a "Student Teacher for Hire" contract which means that I stepped into the position of a long-term guest teacher and did my student teaching independently. I have an awesome support team within my grade level and school so I consider this opportunity a great success!
