Mission

The Fairfax PTA is a non-profit organization composed of families and staff of Fairfax Elementary. Our mission is to support our children, school, and each other in order to promote academic success and strengthen our school community.

What Does PTA Money Pay For?

We are proud to be able to support Fairfax students, staff, and families through a wide range of programming and fundraising. 

Community Events

We host annual community events such as Kindergarten Popsicles on the Playground, Ice Cream Social, Welcome Back Dinner, Donuts with Grownups, Grandparents Day, Muffins with Moms, and every other year we run the Fairfax Cabaret and Fairfax Fall Fest.

After-School Enrichment

We coordinate three sessions of after-school enrichment programs. Programming includes activities such as pickleball, yoga, lacrosse, gardening, Legos, drama, art, jewelry making, chess, astronomy, dance, tumbling, basketball, and baseball.

School Support

We volunteer at and support school-related events such as Kindergarten Kick-off, Curriculum Night, Homecoming Parade, Picture Day, Trunk-or-Treat, 4th grade Columbus Field Trip, Kindergarten and 5th Grade Promotions, Teacher Appreciation Week, Field Day, and Yearbooks.

Fundraising

We manage multiple fundraising programs and events including the annual Scholastic Book Sale, Harvest Sale, Election Day Bake Sale, the Cabaret, and Fall Fest. Our fundraising allows us to offer scholarships for enrichment classes, host community events, and offer reimbursements and mini-grants to staff.
