Historical Graphs
Below is the historical total number of cases in Iowa.
While the Governor and IDPH spokeswoman said on April 10, 2020, the curve is flattening, this graph suggests that it is still increasing on May 24, 2020. The smaller increase that occurred on April 12 were erased subsequent increases. The marker on the left indicates when the State of Iowa distancing instructions were put into place. Markers on the right indicate loosening of those restrictions.
The following graph shows the cumulative total for New York City, and shows the much talked-about flattening of the curve.
This is an example of a flattened curve as the acceleration has declined to near zero.
