3D Echo Courses

Three-dimensional echocardiography has become an established  technique in the assessment of structural heart disease including congenital heart defects. Our next course will be 6/7 November 2018 in central London.  The course programme can be downloaded below. 

Three-dimensional echocardiography of structural  heart disease
A two day course taking delegates through the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of 3D echocardiography. The format is interactive, using laptops to interrogate 3D datasets.

Faculty: Professor John Simpson, Dr Owen Miller 
 
The course will cover 
a. Transthoracic 3D echocardiography 
b. Transoesophageal 3D echocardiography 
c. Assessment of LV function and dyssynchrony by 3D echocardiography 

The faculty will teach on a wide rage of lesions including abnormalities of the AV valves, septal defects and more complex lesions such as double outlet right ventricle. 
Electronic course material will be provided to all participants. 
 
 
This course is aimed at  those involved in structural heart disease, particularly congenital heart disease or those seeking training in 3D echocardiography in general. This includes sonographers, cardiologists in training and established consultant cardiologists who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in this field. 
Course numbers are limited to permit a high ratio of instructors to delegates. This course is supported by Philips Medical Systems. This course does not assume a prior knowledge of 3D manipulation software. Training is provided on use of interrogation tools and the optimal acquisition of 3D echo data.
