I started my TV career at New Channel as ENG cameraman. At that time we used old SONY Betacams and even SuperVHS camcorders!
Then I moved to TVEnterpizes as a studio cameraman. Being a studio cameraman then was quite exciting. One day I would be working on morning talk shows and the following on TV drama serials.
By the time I left TVE I was an experienced cameraman responsible for achieving exceptional results.
Since I have developed a cinephile status over the years, I was eager to get into filmmaking.
I had to follow a self educating route in film production and I managed to get my grip on a complete Arriflex 16mm film camera kit.
From then on, I worked on over a hundred short fiction films (mainly from student directors) and numerous music videos, where I had the unique opportunity to experiment with the film medium and master it over the years.
Since going freelance this self-training process had been invaluable.
I very much enjoy working with a camera crew either in a studio or on an Outside Broadcast or film set.
I have used a wide range of camera mounts and lenses. From pedestals to pythons and very narrow to very wide lenses.
