2. Matching Design Spectra on Average

In this procedure, target time is specified in such a way that the ETEFs average spectra at that time matches the desired spectra in the vicinity of structures significant periods of vibration. For this purpose, response spectra of ETEFs at different times should be calculated and a try and error search for best fitting time should be conducted. This is best done with some simple programming. Alternatively, an Excel worksheet can be used for manual try and error searching for target times.
