Instructor's Notes
Congratulations! We have almost finished this course.
This is a busy lesson because we have many required course activities and assignments to complete. Complete them ASAP. Do not wait until the last minute.
Take this chance to learn from your classmates' textbook chapters. There are many good ideas and designs to learn from. Take time to evaluate their units and provide practical feedback for them since this is a learning community if you prefer, not required.
Generally, students' final grades will be posted within a week after this lesson. Students should receive a notification via e-mail from the instructor or you can check BBLearn's online grade book frequently after finishing this lesson. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the instructor.
This is our final week. Don’t relinquish from your great work; therefore, your efforts won’t be proved futile. In fact, several previous students finished the course with unsatisfactory grades due to Lesson 8 assignments were bereft of high quality.

Be sure the permission/privilege is given to all Google Sites AND Google Docs etc. (If the permission is not provided, your portfolio will be reviewed with the part that is accessible to the instructor.)
Overview: Portfolio reflection is the way to engage you in an iterative process in which lessons learned from the course experiences result in deeper learning and informed decisions for upcoming events.Take time to reflect on your learning experiences in ETC655 so you can conclude your learning. It is an easy assignment to complete it if you take the time to complete it. If not, you may not earn full points.
Many of your weekly journal entries can be applied to your portfolio.
ETC655 Portfolio contains three sections:
Competency
Reflections
Teaching/Design/Learning Philosophy
The Educational Technology Program Portfolio provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and skills related to the ISTE NETS for Technology Directors Standards 6.1, 6.4, and 6.5.
In ETC 547, you were asked to create a web-based Educational Technology Program Portfolio. This professional presentation portfolio holds key assignments that you have produced and will continue to produce while completing your program of study.
NOTE: If you are NOT enrolled in the Educational Technology Certificate Program or MEd, please contact the instructor for alternative instructions for this assignment based on your program of study or situation.
The Educational Technology Program Portfolio ETC 655 tab provides you with the opportunity to respond to standard-based questions that demonstrates your knowledge and skills related to areas of the ISTE NETS for Technology Directors (competency), and thoughtfully evaluate, reflect on, and synthesize your work on course assignments in order to improve and strengthen your personal and professional practice (reflection).
You need to have TWO sections for the ETC655 Reflections Tab in your Educational Technology Program Portfolio: the Competency Section & the Reflection Section.
In this section, you will discuss the standards associated with this course and provide examples and resources that demonstrate your understandings of Standard 2: Digital-Age Learning Culture & Standard 3: Excellence in Professional Practice.
Standard 2: Digital-Age Learning Culture
Technology Directors create, promote, and sustain a dynamic, digital-age learning culture that provides a rigorous, relevant, and engaging education for all students. Upon completion of the program:
Element 2.1. Digital Tools and Resources
Candidates assist district and school leaders to identify, evaluate, and select exemplary digital tools and resources that support learning goals, incorporate research-based instructional design principles, and are compatible with the school technology infrastructure.
Standard 3: Excellence in Professional Practice
Technology Directors promote an environment of professional learning and innovation that empowers educators to enhance student learning through the infusion of contemporary technologies and digital resources. Upon completion of the program
Element 3.1. Professional Learning Programs
Candidates design, implement, and evaluate professional learning programs (face-to-face, blended, and online) that help educators integrate technology effectively into all instructional and business practices— including assisting program directors in infusing technology into all professional learning initiatives.
Element 3.3. Communication and Collaboration
Provide technologies to support effective communication and collaboration and model their use among colleagues, parents, students, and the community.
Element 3.4. Current Research & Emerging Technologies
Maintain in-depth knowledge of current educational research and emerging technologies and evaluate potential benefits and implementation requirements (purchase cost, training, human resources, installation, maintenance, compatibility).
Please respond to the following three items:
Please describe what Open Network Learning Environment (ONLE) means to you? (Be sure to discuss the elements of ONLE & the various linkages of ONLE Design Model.) How does Personal Learning Environment (PLE) relate to ONLE?
Provide an example of how you might integrate ONLE to develop and disseminate a PD, such as a local one for your educational institution, or a large scale like a MOOC for teaching/training professionals and/or digital lifelong learners? How can you make the ONLE PD as a sustainable learning environment rather than a one-time training session? What are the issues in developing and delivering ONLE PD? How can you resolve these issues?
List at least TEN digital tools and network learning paradigm/theory/framework/model resources that will support you being a leader of ONLE and PLE. Use social tagging architecture with Delicious, Diigo, or other social bookmarking tools to organize your resource links. (See ETC655 Social Tagging Architecture example)
For the ETC655 tab, add the following along with a reflection that discusses both the process you engaged in to complete each of the assignment selected and your learning in relation to the topic of the assignment selected (one to two paragraphs in length):
Select and upload or link to an assignment that demonstrates your ability to design, implement, and evaluate technology-rich professional learning programs (NETS*TD 6.1. Content and Pedagogical Knowledge: Candidates demonstrate content and pedagogical knowledge, skills, and dispositions in technology integration and current and emerging technologies necessary to effectively implement the NETS•S, NETS•T, and NETS•A.)
Select and upload or link to the assignment that demonstrates your "Continuous Learning" (i.e., new knowledge and skills gained through ETC 665) (NETS*TD 6.4. Continuous Learning: Candidates engage in continuous learning to deepen their content, technical, and leadership and management knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)
Select and upload or link to the assignment that pushed you to "evaluate, reflect on, and synthesize their work and research to improve and strengthen their professional practice (NETS*TD 6.5)."
Submission of Assignment:
The PUBLISHED URL for your program portfolio MUST be submitted to Blackboard Learn for EVALUATION on or before the due date.
Tasks:
Create a new tab in your portfolio, called "Teaching Philosophy," "Design Philosophy," or "Learning Philosophy."
If you have an existing one, feel free to use it. Consider updating your existing or rewrite it since you have technology integration skills and knowledge have evolved while completing the ETC degree.
If you are a teacher, you will compose a Teaching Philosophy. If you are an instructional designer, you will compose a Design or Learning Philosophy.
State your teaching philosophy, particularly with your philosophy in technology integration for teaching, learning & designing.

Descriptions
As an instructional designer, you need to teach educators or students to integrate emerging network technologies to support their teaching or learning. You are required to design a two-page Pedagogy InfoDoc to help your target audiences to learn "how to" integrate the selected technology into their teaching or learning. They can follow this document with or without your additional assistance.
In ETC program, you have read many EDUCAUSE's publications: the series of 7 thing you should know about. The pedagogy InfoDoc is similar but you should focus on "how to integrate" not just what it is.
Follow this process:
Analyze and evaluate potential topic(s) & previous students InfoDoc
Create your own
Select a topic from the list below (The topics with "/" can be selected either one or more; You could aim at a specific topic or a general or broader one.)
