Overview:
Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and excel in Eagle River High School's AFJROTC program. Although it is not mandatory, participation in after/before-school activities is highly recommended thanks to the incentive that it provides cadets to maintain acceptable grades, and develop a schedule.
Problem:
Many cadets would love to participate, but have not means of transportation to them. Their parents are too busy in the mornings, or work too late to take them to corps events.
Solution:
OUR FELLOW CADETS! Quite a few cadets can drive, or are available to drive to ERHS or Corps events, and are more than willing to help others do so. The SASI and ASI may not always be able to provide rides, but there's a 99% chance that at least 2 cadets in the program can.
How to Achieve it:
Before, after, or during class (preferably before), inform the SASI/ASI that you require assistance getting a ride to a corps event. They will in turn, find out the general area in which you live, and see to it that another cadet in the same vicinity can attend to your needs.
Rules and Courtesies:
Never make your driver wait on you; be prepared early!
Never stop saying thank you; show your driver as much respect as you can.
Schedule rides in advance; only on rare occasions should you bend this rule.
If you're sick, or not attending the event, inform your driver so that they don't waste any time (this means you need to have a method of contacting them).
Remember to help whenever you can!
