(Some content is clickable; click with your center mouse wheel to open the targeted content in a new tab/window.)
Production slugs: What are they, what do they look like, how are they used?
Filenames: Letters, numbers and underscores ONLY.
The simpler the filename, the better.
Throughout the tutorial, the content to be turned into an e-book is referred to as projectx. Users can substitute another title for their own content, but please keep these substituted titles simple (or live to regret it later.)
'Save' and 'Save As' are not the same thing. We will use 'Save As' a lot.
Prefixes help identify one version of a file from another.Â
Create a folder named "production" on the desktop. Do not improvise on the name or location.
Throughout the tutorial, this folder is called the desktop production folder.
All files created during this tutorial should be saved inside the desktop production folder.
Create a key_projectx file.
Add a label containing Title, author and any other pertinent info to key_projectx.
Throughout the tutorial, key_projectx is referred to simply as "the key".
