We decided upon a project that communicated CO2 values to milk drinkers through container weight of the carton. The CO2 was determined based on the distance from where the milk was produced to where it ended up here in Pittsburgh. The numbers were surprising to many testers, going with their association of organically branded milks being produced locally, this was usually the not the case (ie. the most local milk was the Giant Eagle brand milk) and is a common misconception.
