Development Works

1. Cooperative Communication System Design for Wireless Sensor Networks:

Designed and simulated a cooperative wireless sensor network using network coding for underwater acoustic as well as terrestrial RF communication.

Tools: MATLAB, Simulink.

2. CPRI System for LTE:

Designed and implemented the Common Public Radio Interface Standard for LTE, which is used for data transmission between radio equipment control (REC) and radio equipment (RE) in radio base stations.

Tools: Verilog, ModelSim, Xilinx ISE.

3. GigE Vision Standard:

Designed and implemented the GigE Vision Standard for industrial camera applications, used for image communication from camera to computers.

Tools: Verilog, ModelSim, Xilinx ISE.

4. IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) System Implementation:

Designed, simulated, and implemented a MIMO modified version of the IEEE 802.16 wireless broadband communication system on FPGA.

5. Multi-User Detection using LDPC Soft Decision Coding:

Designed and simulated a single and multi-user detection system using LDPC soft decision coding/decoding algorithm in MATLAB.

6. Radar Warning Receiver:

Designed and implemented the digital part of radar warning receiver including the digital board design, FPGA design, and board bring-up and debugging as a part of a bigger team.

Tools: OrCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, VHDL, Xilinx ISE.

7. QPSK Modem:

Designed and implemented QPSK system. The design is first simulated using MATLAB, Simulink and then implemented on a Spartan 2 FPGA using Verilog.

8. Data Compression Algorithms:

Implemented a number of data compression algorithms such as Huffman Codec, Arithmetic Coding, and Lloyd-Max Quantizer using C/C++ and MATLAB for DSP applications.
