Winning:
The Rebels win if the King is killed, as long as the Spy does not win. Even if a Rebel dies before the King is defeated, all the Rebels still achieve victory.
Losing:
The Rebels lose if the King survives until all Rebels and Spies are dead, or if the Spy kills the King in a one-on-one battle after all other players have been eliminated.
Rebels aim to overthrow the King by any means necessary. Their single objective revolves around eliminating the ruler of the game, and they win when the King dies, regardless of their own survival.
Victory through the King's Death:
Rebels do not need to personally deliver the final blow to the King to win. If the King dies by any means—such as another player’s attack or even a random event like Lightning—the Rebels still win, as long as the Spy does not claim victory.
Rebel Deaths:
Just like Loyalists, Rebels can win even if they have been eliminated earlier in the game. Their victory is only tied to the King’s defeat, not their own survival.
Reward for Killing a Rebel:
If any player kills a Rebel, they draw three cards, regardless of their role. This includes when one Rebel kills another, making it a useful tactic if a Rebel is close to death and you want to prevent the King or Loyalists from gaining the reward.
Losing to Other Roles:
The Rebels lose if any other role wins, including the King or the Spy. If the Spy kills the King in the final confrontation, the Rebels do not share in the victory.
Single-Minded Focus:
Rebels should always prioritize killing the King above all else. While it may occasionally be necessary to kill Loyalists, this should never overshadow the primary goal of defeating the King.
Sacrificial Play:
In larger games, a Rebel might consider spending all resources in a single attack that deals significant damage to the King, even if it results in their own death. This tactic can help weaken the King and pave the way for other Rebels to finish the job.
Card Rewards:
The three-card reward for killing a Rebel can be used strategically within the team. If a Rebel is about to die, it can be advantageous for another Rebel to deliver the final blow, preventing enemies from gaining additional cards.
When playing as a Rebel, all efforts should be concentrated on eliminating the King. Even if it means making sacrifices or taking big risks, the Rebels win if the King falls. This role offers an intense, aggressive style of play, with a clear goal of destabilizing the throne and ensuring the King’s defeat.
