Originally born in Wei territory, Jiang Wei served as a mid-level officer under the warlord Xiahou Yuan. Although his campaigns met with mixed success, Jiang Wei remained committed to his mission of fulfilling Zhuge Liang's dream of subjugating Wei and restoring the Han dynasty.
