Rattan Armor 藤甲
Wu Tugu is immune to Barbarians, Hail of Arrows, and all non-elemental attacks.
Fear of Fire 惧火
Whenever Wu Tugu takes fire damage, the damage is increased by one.
Wu Tugu can equip armor without interfering with his abilities, allowing him to gain additional protection.
"Rattan Armor" functions similarly to Yu Jin's "Heavy Resolve," making him highly resistant to physical attacks.
Unlike Wood Armor, "Rattan Armor" provides superior defense since it completely nullifies normal Attacks, including those with weapon effects such as Gender Swords and Black Pommel. If a female character attacks Wu Tugu with Gender Swords, the ability does not trigger, and Black Pommel cannot bypass his immunity.
If Wu Tugu equips Wood Armor and takes fire damage, the damage is increased twice—once from Wood Armor and once from "Fear of Fire."
"Rattan Armor" provides exceptional survivability, making Wu Tugu resistant to common attack-based threats.
He is nearly impervious to Barbarians and Hail of Arrows, which are often used for mass damage.
He can freely equip armor without compromising his defensive capabilities.
"Fear of Fire" makes him highly vulnerable to fire-based damage, which is a common counter-strategy against him.
His immunity does not protect him from elemental attacks, leaving him susceptible to characters who frequently use fire-based abilities.
Lacks offensive abilities, making him reliant on standard attacks and equipment for dealing damage.
Defensive Supports:
Characters like Liu Bei and Guo Jia can help him sustain his defense by providing additional cards and armor.
Fire Damage Dealers:
Opponents like Fire Zhuge Liang and Cheng Pu can exploit his "Fear of Fire" and quickly bring him down.
Healing Characters:
Hua Tuo and Cai Wenji can mitigate his fire weakness by healing him before he takes too much damage.
Armor:
If Wu Tugu equips the Silver Helmet, it will prevent all the negative effects of his abilities. This will provide protection for "Fear of Fire".
A poor choice due to his extreme vulnerability to fire. Fire-based strategies can quickly eliminate him.
Can provide excellent frontline defense for a King but may struggle against fire-wielding Rebels.
Effective against attack-heavy Kings but suffers when facing fire-based Loyalists.
His high durability can allow him to last longer, but his lack of offensive power makes it difficult to influence the game effectively.
Wu Tugu is a durable defender with immunity to common physical attacks, making him difficult to take down in normal combat. However, his extreme weakness to fire makes him a double-edged character, as a single well-timed fire attack can deal devastating damage. He thrives in games where fire-based attacks are rare but becomes a liability against opponents who exploit his weakness. Players must carefully manage his vulnerabilities while leveraging his resilience to non-elemental threats.
Wu Tugu was the king of Wuge and a key ally of Meng Huo in the resistance against Shu forces. He was described as a towering figure who consumed venomous serpents. His warriors wore dried and oiled rattan armor, which was light enough to float on water yet tough enough to resist sharp blades, forming the formidable "Rattan Armor Army." This impenetrable armor allowed them to achieve early victories against the Shu forces, mirroring his "Rattan Armor" ability. However, Zhuge Liang discovered the armor's weakness to fire and set a trap, luring Wu Tugu and his army into a blazing inferno that led to their complete destruction, reflected in his "Fear of Fire." His near-invulnerability and ultimate fiery demise are faithfully represented in his abilities.
