Together 同归
During the discard phase, choose another character. They discard the same number of cards you discard.
Revenge 复仇
When a character damages you during their turn, you may perform a judgment. If the result is not a heart, they enter their discard phase immediately.
"Together" triggers during Cheng Pu’s discard phase, meaning the chosen player discards simultaneously. This effect applies even if Cheng Pu discards 0 cards.
"Together" is not an optional ability. Cheng Pu must select someone to discard cards.
"Revenge" triggers only when Cheng Pu takes damage during another player’s turn. It does not activate if he is damaged during his own turn, such as through Duel.
If "Revenge" is successful, the attacking player immediately skips any remaining actions in their turn and proceeds directly to their discard phase.
"Revenge" does not negate ongoing effects such as Duel or chained damage but does prevent further attacks or ability activations from that player for the rest of their turn.
If the judgment result for "Revenge" is a heart, the attacker continues their turn as normal.
"Together" forces opponents to discard cards at the same rate as Cheng Pu, making it a powerful tool for depleting enemy resources.
"Revenge" can end an enemy's turn prematurely, punishing aggressive players and deterring attacks against Cheng Pu.
Characters who rely on multiple attacks per turn, such as Zhang Fei or Gao Sun, are significantly weakened by "Revenge."
Players who attack Cheng Pu recklessly risk having their turns abruptly cut short, making them hesitate before targeting him.
Since "Together" affects another player’s discards, Cheng Pu can control the board even when low on resources.
"Revenge" is only effective if opponents attack Cheng Pu, making him less impactful against defensive or passive opponents.
While he can punish attacks, Cheng Pu lacks direct damage-enhancing abilities, making it difficult for him to apply pressure himself.
If a heart is revealed during "Revenge," the attacker suffers no penalty, reducing the reliability of the ability.
Judgment Manipulators:
Cheng Pu benefits from characters who can control judgment results, such as Sima Yi or Zhang Jiao, to increase the chance of a successful "Revenge" activation.
High-Discard Characters:
Characters who require a lot of cards naturally, like Ma Su or Yuan Shu, can be targets since "Together" can punish them when their hands shrink.
Cheng Pu struggles as a King due to his lack of direct offense and reliance on reactive abilities. His defensive disruption is useful but may not be enough to protect himself long-term.
He performs well as a Loyalist by discouraging Rebels from attacking the King.
As a Rebel, Cheng Pu excels at disrupting enemy turns and forcing the King into uncomfortable discard situations. However, he may struggle against defensive Kings.
As a Spy, Cheng Pu’s unpredictability and ability to punish attacks make him an excellent wildcard, disrupting both sides equally.
Cheng Pu is a tactical character who thrives on controlling enemy actions and disrupting turns. "Together" applies discard pressure on a chosen opponent, while "Revenge" serves as a powerful deterrent against attacks. However, his impact depends on his opponents' playstyle—against aggressive foes, he shines, but against passive or defensive enemies, he may struggle to find his place. Players who enjoy turn manipulation and resource control will find Cheng Pu a rewarding but challenging character to master.
Cheng Pu was a veteran general of Eastern Wu, known for his long and loyal service under Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Sun Quan. He played a crucial role in many early Wu campaigns, including battles against Yuan Shu and Cao Cao. His unwavering dedication and battlefield experience made him a key figure in Wu’s rise to power.
"Together" reflects his role as a leader who influenced both allies and enemies, often forcing situations upon others. "Revenge" represents his fierce loyalty and ability to retaliate against those who wronged him, ensuring that those who struck him would suffer consequences. His card design encapsulates his ability to dictate the flow of battle, punishing reckless aggression while subtly guiding the war’s outcome.
