EPML takes part in cutting-edge multidisciplinary environmental engineering and bioenergy research. All EPML members receive unique training in multidisciplinary environmental engineering research, from the physicochemical to microbiological aspects.

Research thrusts of EPML include: 1) anaerobic digestion, 2) wastewater treatment, and 3) novel material sythesis.
