Welcome to music!
Guess what!?!? We've just received an important message that in your social studies class, you have to create a rap about factors that shaped British Colonial America. Good thing you have really been paying attention in class! You really know your stuff!
But wait! The presentation will need to be submitted in a video or audio format to share on your teacher's website? You will need a back beat to play underneath your rap!?!?
Well, have no fear! Your music teacher is here!
In groups of 4, you will work together to create a back beat rhythmic track using Quaver's Marvelous World of Music's QBackBeat app. The WebQuest will help you along the way!
You will learn how to create a back beat by reading, writing, and notating music using standard notations for quarter notes, quarter rests, beamed eighth notes, beamed sixteenth notes, whole notes, whole rest, half notes, and half rests using digital music composition tools.
Good luck and let's get started!
