In Kindergarten Methods, we actively participated in our class by creating Kindergarten art projects and by micro-teaching music, math, literacy, and science lessons. As part of our class, we also created a large binder full of resources that we can use in our future classrooms. We created a behavior plan, layout of the classroom, a schedule, management plan, field trip newsletter and permission slip. The most intensive project that we created was a unit study for the kindergarten classroom. In this unit, we combined all of the curriculum areas that we learned about and came up with activities in each of the areas to fit our theme.
Below you are able to view the theme I created; the theme was on heroes. The theme project includes lessons plans for the main curriculum courses.I also have a powerpoint that displays activities that could be used for the theme project.
Below is the field trip project I created; it includes a permission slip,
a letter to the parents/guardian, and a checklist.
