My name is Eliana and I am from Vila do Conde, Porto, Portugal.
I hold a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Robotics. I also have a Master's degree in Mathematics with Applications to Mechanics, a post-graduate degree in Statistics, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, all from the University of Minho.
I am passionate about applying Mathematics to various real-world problems in business contexts. I have extensive experience in mathematical and statistical modeling, data analysis, and solution development for companies. I have gained this experience through my involvement since 2012 in the European Study Groups with Industry held in Portugal, Spain, and the Netherlands. Additionally, I have supervised both master's and bachelor's projects within companies.
Currently, I am a Professor Adjunto at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto - Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Politécnico do Porto (ESTG|P.PORTO). I am a full member of the Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems (CIICESI), as well as a collaborating member of Centro Algoritmi. I serve as the vice director of the Department of Natural and Exact Sciences and am a member of the Technical-Scientific Council of the Industry Business School (IBS).
