Oral-B Pro 3000 Review

Here is my Oral B Pro 3000 review.

It feels like I've been brushing my teeth wrong my whole life. But as soon as I start brushing with the Oral-B Pro 3000 3D White, I'm transformed by what seems at first like errant pressure. It seems as though those years of sloppy dentistry have finally paid off, and this brush has magically transformed my teeth and gums with astonishing ease.

The brush is the first toothbrush from Oral-B to feature Bluetooth connectivity, which is supposed to improve accuracy by monitoring brushing pressure. It also packs 3D White technology, which is supposed to better tackle spots of staining, as well as Oral-B's unique CrossAction brush head.

I've already noticed my teeth are looking whiter, and the brush is so much gentler on my gums than my old manual toothbrush. That all sounds too good to be true - and that's because it actually is. While the majority of my teeth are relatively clean, the app is yet to be able to diagnose those stained areas; so I'm not sure if all this extra whitening power is worth paying a premium.

The brush also doesn't fully understand the importance of those hardened pieces of plaque. I'm aware that plaque removal is important, and I've tried out many types of electric toothbrush, but until now I've rarely wiped off the debris after brushing, instead leaving it to harden into pesky little chunks. Oral-B Brush Heads The brush itself works like a charm, producing close to 40,000 brush movements a minute. But the app tells me to brush for two minutes, so I press play, only to experience a frustrating amount of lag and a choppy playback of my brushing video.

I'm keen to try this new brush, and within minutes I'm already sold on it. Setting up the brush is incredibly easy. It comes packaged with two rechargeable AA batteries, a charging cable, a short USB adaptor and a little booklet. It wouldn't take me more than 30 seconds to fire the brush up and pairing it with my phone.

I load the Oral-B app, and within a few seconds the brush is properly synced with my smartphone, even though I haven't given it an address. It's one of the nicest apps I've ever used. After I have completed the initial setup, the app delivers an excellent display of how I'm doing with my oral care routine - and it even starts to give me nutrition advice. For instance, it notes that I should be brushing for 3 minutes every night for healthy teeth and gums.

I switch to the Oral-B Oral Care app, but my brush doesn't really need that, as it offers fewer options than the iOS app. But it's a nice feature to have for the rare occasions when I do need to make an edit. It seems as though I've not been brushing my teeth properly my whole life. I've been using a battery-powered toothbrush for over a decade now, and Oral-B's Pro 3000 3D White is the first electric toothbrush I've used that legitimately feels like it's been activated using the right technique. The app tells me that much of my brushing is too loud, and it turns out I'm brushing too hard.

The app guides me through each step in my brushing routine, and after some time, I feel like I'm brushing like a dentist would. I'm even notified that I've been brushing my teeth too aggressively, so the app has actually provided me with an instructional brush video to help me improve my technique.
