11:00 am - Race Start (Mass Start) 

(Any all Male teams will start 3:00 after the mass start)

Sunday, February 4

(Location Main VIC Lodge) 

Individual Start 12.5k Classic 

9:00 - Course Opens

10:00 - Women's Race Start 

11:00 - Men's Race Start

$20/skier per day, payable to ECSC (Make checks out to USCSA)

Fill out the attached (change TEAMNAME to your team please) and send to mdougherty@paulsmiths.edu and ecsc.nordic@gmail.com by Wednesday, January 31, by 7pm. Order of seed will be order of start. 

Wax Protocol

For Saturdays team relays  we want to do what our league used to do and   what a few other conferences have done and use a wax protocol. On Wednesday of race week we will email out the wax to use for skis,  it will be a PS level wax (Base level whether its toko, swix, etc, )  This will allow a race day where all teams can focus on racing and not worry about the wax of the day.  (This will be honor system and Yes Torin that means you don’t need your trailer at the start of Day 1)  The idea is for us all to be able to focus on a race and make a level playing field for all teams for this one race.  

Race Locations~   

Location: This a link to Google Maps,  it has three pins dropped for you to use 1. The Saunders Sports Complex for Facilities/ Showers/ Bathrooms 2.  The Paul Smiths VIC LODGE for Sunday Race Start 3. The New Nordic Stadium.

Saturday's Races will be at the Phil Saunders Nordic Stadium,  please see the attached map for a pin dropped at the location.    The road is about one mile and its narrow. We ask that once you drive in you plan to be there till the races end.   DRIVE SLOWLY or you will end up in a snowbank.  Parking is limited so only teams at the Venue a shuttle for Friends and Family will run from the schools Gym Parking lot.  (If you are bringing a large vehicle please connect with Coach Dougherty AKA a bus….)   

Sunday Races will be run from the Main VIC Lodge  see maps, there is plenty of parking and warm lodge with full facilities.   We ask teams to not setup in the main foyer so other visitors can come and go to just use the long hallway and classrooms in that area.  

Weather and Trail Conditions: ​The weather continues to be an incredible challenge this year.  This week we were supposed to get snow but we are just getting rain we won't know how the trails held up until late Monday.  It is almost certain today's rains will affect what races and distances we can offer.  We will send a complete trail update by Tuesday morning.
