The East Fishkill Ultimate league began in the 1980s as a league for IBM employees and their families. If you thought that meant inferior competition, you'd be wrong. The league featured great players from college ultimate teams like RPI, Rutgers, Pitt, Michigan State, Humboldt, and Carnegie Mellon. Prior to 2011, the league played only one season per year, starting in late summer and continuing into the fall. There are still some veteran players in the league from those days. Ask them about the league's history. They probably all have good stories to tell... Stall counts in Japanese... Upside down points... A pink team called the Pink Panthers... The more ultimate changes, the more it stays the same.
