What We Do
DanceWorks Altrincham is a small, community-based dance school in Broadheath, Altrincham and has existed in its current form since 2001.
It's volunteer-led and run by an experienced, UKA-qualified dance teacher (since 1986) and a UKCA Coach who have enhanced DBS clearance.
Our aim is to provide structured dance activities within a safe and familiar environment for our pupils and their families.
Rather than view dance simply as a physical activity - we see that through providing routine, structure and positive feedback, our pupils gain a sense of "team", enhanced social skills, self-confidence, presentation skills and self-motivation.
We provide excellent quality teaching by keeping classes to small numbers, allowing our teachers to plan for individual pupil abilities.
We don't only teach children - but we can't always offer regular adult dance classes - we can offer wedding dance preparation classes on request. Please write to danceworksaltrincham@msn.com for further information.
UKA - where appropriate for ensuring progress, we use syllabi set by
United Kingdom Alliance (UKA Dance)
and usually organise 2 exams sessions / medal tests per year.
