Frame and Axle Sliders

A brand new bike, and only limited time back on a bike after a long period away from riding, my biggest fear was dropping the bike in a car park, not riding at (legal) speeds on the open road. These were ordered before the bike arrived and were installed straight away.

The Frame Sliders and the Axle Sliders are from Motovation.

No axle protectors were installed for the rear axle as exhaust system will get trashed long before any damage could occur to the axle.

The frame sliders do look a bit ugly and stand out at first, but I really don't notice them now. If you have a look here, you can see some photos of the bike and the frame sliders

The axle sliders look smart, and I really like the look of them.

There has been some discussion on the Ducati Forum as to whether frame sliders cause more damage than not having them with the potential to damage the engine or twist the frame. The decision to fit them or not is up to you.

Crank Case Cover

This is just pure bling !!!!

I couldn't stand the standard crank case cover as it looked like cheap nasty chrome plastic. The new crank case cover is from Nichols Manufacturing

Bar Ends

The original reason for replacing the bar ends was purely for cosmetic reasons, how ever these proved to also reduce vibration in the handlebars. The ones I bought are from Slingshot Racing.

Tank Protection

I like the clean appearance of the clear film used by "Tank Slapper" in their tank protection products, plus it also offers protection to the sides of the tank where I often grip with my knees. I went with the more expensive 3M product - 3M Tank Protector

They also offer a tank top protection kit to protect the tank when using a tank bag. Unfortunately if you follow the links are order this product, they supply the cheaper product which doesn't apppear to adhere to the tank. I have emailed them about this and they informed me that it can be purchased in the 3M product, but I don't see how this can be ordered through their web site.
