How to Join

New members Must attend a Member Orientation Session in order to be considered for membership. Current members will receive membership renewal notices via email in October of each year and their membership will be renewed once the membership director has received payment of the appropriate fees and the properly completed renewal documents. New members will continue with orientation doing a brief tour of the grounds, please be sure to dress appropriately for walking outside.

We typically schedule New Member Orientation Sessions once per month from February through September. Check the calendar for updates.

All memberships and key rentals are valid from Jan 1st - Dec 31st of each year. Membership Fees are $90.00 annually for an Individual Membership or $120 annually for a Family Membership. Membership fees for new members who join after July 1st of each year are reduced to half price. ($45 & $60) Additionally, there is a $20.00 orientation fee for those who must attend a member orientation. (The orientation fee does not apply to membership renewals if membership is renewed no later than March 31st of the new year.) Members who choose to obtain a gate key for Range Access must pay an additional $50.00 annual fee.

The IWLA membership gives you discounts on trap, skeet, rifle and pistol events, as well as a vote and a voice at our regular meetings.  Membership also allows you to rent the optional gate key, which opens up your world!  The gate key allows members access to the grounds to shoot at times that the gates are not already open for a public event.  The gate key is something we take very seriously-- and the Rules of the Range are enforced strictly, so please make sure you understand them and take responsibility for your own actions  Every new member who rents a gate key will need to have a safety orientation of the grounds before they will be issued a key.  Email us at dubuqueiwla@gmail.com if you have any questions!

Membership isn't just about enjoying the benefits! Volunteers are needed all the time!

There are many benefits of joining any organization.  Some of the benefits of ours is that you get to have a good time with other great people who share your interest in shooting sports!

Any good organization also needs good volunteers as well.  The Dubuque IWLA Chapter is run by volunteers.  Not only do we need leaders such as the President, the Vice President and the Board of Directors, but we also need others willing to help out with the many important aspects of the organization--

We are always looking for persons who can help with regular events such as trap and skeet shooting, IDPA pistol competitions, and other events that take place.   Anyone can help anywhere they would like to.   We are also always looking for more persons to assist with special events, such as Becoming and Outdoor Woman, and the Heritage Classic.

Don't feel you need special credentials to help out, you do not!   The clubhouse and grounds also need volunteers with maintenance such as grass cutting, building repairs, target stands and many other day to day things that some people take for granted!

Please, if you are considering joining also consider helping to keep our club running smoothly by volunteering.
