INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
Having completed this unit, students are expected to:
1 Demonstrate knowledge of the key principles and concepts of the major theoretical models in cognitive psychology and language.
2 Demonstrate a critical understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different experimental approaches to the study of cognitive psychology and language.
3 Be able to present and communicate key concepts, arguments and analyses of the major theoretical models in cognitive psychology and language clearly and coherently.
4 Develop a range of transferable skills valued by employers including analytical thinking, synthetic thinking, recognising and critically evaluating information, and working as part of a team.
