Thank you for visiting my website.  I am Dr Neville John Ellis, an educational researcher and consultant, and this site is maintained as my personal portfolio. 

My research interests and areas of expertise include practitioner research, action research, mentoring and comparative studies. I also have an expert knowledge of qualitative research methodologies.  Previous to my appointment at UNSW, Sydney, as a Lecturer in Teacher Professional Learning and Director of Professional Experience at the School of Education, I worked in education at the University of Sydney, in corporate strategy and planning at Western Sydney University, and as a Senior Education Officer at the Ministry of Education, and Dean of Nanyang Girls High School, Singapore.  I thereby have extensive experience as a lecturer, education consultant, classroom teacher, and school leader, and possess both a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of teacher professional learning.
