In 2000, Itsara Boonyarit earned his Bechelor of Science (2nd class Honours) in Psychology from Chiang Mai University and acheived his Master of Science in Industrial Psychology from Kasetsart University in 2002, Thailand. After completing his master degree, he worked as a senior officer responsible in HRD system planning at C.P. Seven Eleven PCL (Thailand) for five years. In 2007, he went to the doctoral program in Applied Behavioral Science Research at Behavioral Science Research Institute, Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok. During his doctoral study in 2009 to 2010, he had received a research internship under supervision with Professor Ann Macaskill, his dissertation advisor, at Department of Psychology, Faculty of Development and Society, Sheffield Hallam University, UK. In 2010, he went to Honolulu, Hawai'i to receive his research internship in psychology of risk on environmental change under supervision with Dr. Melissa Finucane at East-West Center. He completed his Ph.D. in 2012 with the dissertation focused on applying Buddhist principles to explain forgiveness within the work context. He has joined as a lecturer in Psychology at Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University since April 2012.
