Unbeknownst to me, 2010 turned out to be a year of shawls. A few of my friends have joined various annual goals of knitting either the National Knitting a Sweater a Month (NaKniSweMo) or the 10 shawls in 2010. I'm not one to subject myself to such goals, as I see knitting as more free form creativity to knit as I please. Somehow, on an subconscious level I may have gotten swept into the goal setting.
These are the shawls that I have knit in 2010. (Some of which I categorized as "shawls" since they took 300+ yards of fingering weight yarn)
shawls top to bottom, left to right:
Damson by Ysolda Teague || Yarn: Yarn Love Marianne Dashwood, Colorway: Red Delicious
Lacy Kerchief Scarf by Lisa Daehlin || Yarn: Crazy4Dyeing LuxeSock, Colorway: Glee
Panda Silk DK Fan Shawl by Gail Tanquary || Yarn: Kauni Wool 8/2 Effektgarn, Colorway EQ
Haruni by Emily Ross || Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock, Colorway: Tiziano Red
Springtime Bandit by Kate Gagnon Osborn || Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock, Colorway: Archangel
Citron by Hilary Smith Callis || Yarn: Wabi Sabi Yarns Lush Lace, Colorway: Chestnut
Multnomah by Kate Flagg || Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock, Colorway: Alcaucil
Damson by Ysolda Teague || Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock, Colorway: Cote d'Azure
Milkweed Shawl by Laura Chau || Yarn: Squoosh Fiberarts Merino Cashmere : Sock, Colorway: Blue Jeans
Since 2010 isn't over yet, I still have 2 shawls on the needles. Let's see if I can finish out 2010 with 11 or 12 shawls under my belt.
