CLIP WITH ZIP-PRUNING DEMYSTIFIED                          FRANÇAIS

"Your presentations never disappoint. Pruning is clearly an art and our trees and bushes will be forever grateful, we learned a lot tonight."

Roslyn Woodcock, Hudson Garden Club

"Hi Stefan,

That was an amazing workshop yesterday. As you predicted you demystified the process for us.

I'm finishing my portfolio as program coordinator but will put you on the list of return speakers."

Karen Runnels, Beaconsfield Garden Club

In the last 15 years I've pruned thousands of trees and shrubs in our 2000

tree mixed fruit permaculture orchard. You can read about pruning, go to a

seminar and practice. The best is to do all 3, but practice is a must. You

can prune your own trees, shrubs and vines by learning the basics.

In this seminar, using demonstrations and an indoor practice session you'll

learn:

Pruning Principles Expanded

The tools for proper pruning.

     Hand shears (hand cutters)

     Long-handled loppers

     Pole pruners

     Handsaws

Tool maintenance.

Pruning safety and equipment.

To prune or not to prune.

The cuts: when, where and how to execute cuts.

How trees, shrubs and vines differ in their pruning needs.

PRACTICE SESSION.

P.s. March is a great month to learn so you'll be ready for the March and

April pruning season.

Note: This seminar can also be presented as a hands-on workshop in a

residents yard.
