On most maps, start with SSG in EASY. In HARD difficulty the weapon distribution is the 'classic' one, starting with SG.
Maps designed from 1 vs 1 to a full house!
2 zero-gravity maps! (bind keys for SWIM UP and SWIM DOWN for those. Also, Mouse Look is recommended)
New sounds for Plasma Gun and Chaingun.
New graphics for BFG ball and Plasma balls.
Terrain effects (for liquids).
Ambient sounds (you might hear them if you turn down the music volume).
Higher resolution skyboxes.
Lots of new textures from various sources.
