BRAZILIAN FESTIVAL AT
ARLENE FRANCIS CENTER

This is an opportunity to learn about two very fun Brazilian art forms. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines dance and acrobatics with self defense techniques done to traditional music. Samba Batucada is the Brazilian percussion music that is responsible for the famous carnival celebrations in Brazil.
Capoeira: workshop from 2:30 to 4:00 for beginners, after which we will have a "roda" where all levels can participate.
Batucada: workshop from 4:30-6:30pm. Stick around after the workshops for some food and dancing to Brazilian style music, 6:30-10:00.
