According to Research, The Trinity Doctrine is not in the original Scriptures

Research that follows is based on an articles written by Allen K. from Auburn.edu. (2018). The Trinity- Fact or Fiction? Retrieved July 5, 2018, from http://www.auburn.edu/~allenkc/trinity.html

According to many researchers, including Isaac Newton, there are a plethora of scriptures indicating the fact that Jesus was the SON of God and not God himself.

For example, “As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. ‘Good teacher,’ he asked, ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ ‘Why do you call me good?’ Jesus answered. ‘No one is good except God alone. Mark 10:17-22 (emphasis ours).

This passage is no different than if you, as a pharmacy attendant, were wearing a white robe and someone came up to you and addressed you as "Doctor" and asking you to treat a patient. You would inmmediately proceed to first rectify the situation with a "I am not a doctor, but I will get you one in a moment". Thus, showing your honesty and your desire not to usurp the academic title that does NOT belong to you. It is that simple.

Researchers continue: Other scriptures show that Jesus is not God:

"He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible .... all things were created through him and for him." (Colossians 1:15-16). "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness ....'" (Genesis 1:26).

"For I have not spoken on my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to say and what to speak." (John 12:49).

Generally, when confronted with issues that demand “interpretation” the best option is NOT TO INTERPRET. We must take a statement for what it is, least we fall into “INTERPRETATION” of the scriptures. This is something the Jesus constantly rebuked the pharisees and law interpreters during his lifetime. https://biblia.com/bible/esv/Matt%2023.16%E2%80%9317.

“You ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition,” Jesus told them (Mark 7:8, NLT; see also Matthew 9:14; 15:1–9; 23:5, 16, 23, Mark 7:1–23; and Luke 11:42 ).

Those who adhere with all their might to the interpretation of the Trinity or a Tri-Une God in the scriptures, sometimes will resort to all types of improper logic, including ad-hominem attacks against those who refuse to belief in such doctrine.

For example Dr Jonathan Sarfati, a writer with Creation.com - accuses, as he attempts to discredit a writer who disagrees with the doctrine of the Trinity- for “not being a theologian” but rather simply an ophthalmic surgeon. Nevertheless, Safarti conveniently ignores that fact that he himself is simply a Physical Chemist and Spectroscopist, and NOT a theologian. Thus, his educational background, not being a "theologian", makes him equally disqualified to argue about the Trinity doctrine in question. https://creation.com/islam-testimony-trinity. (Sarfati, 2012).

Additionally, Sarfati argues that "Tertullian derived the Trinity from the point that God is revealed to have made a covenant with Israel.."., whereas Tertulian, as he was known, is not, was not, and has never been any of the original writers of the Holy Greek Scriptures, or the New Testament.

"First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."

(2 Peter 1:20-21; 2:1-3).

Giving divine recognition and divine inspirational attributes to a person such as Tertulian, does not and will not in any way make his writings inspired by God or coming from God. When speaking of Tertulian, The Encyclopedia Britanica describes him simply "Tertullian was ordained a priest". "His parents were pagan, and his father may have been a centurion". it is possible that he brought pagan ideas to his newly adopted faith of Christianity.

Many Bible scholars such as John McClintock and James Strong explained: “Towards the end of the 1st century, and during the 2d, many learned men came over both from Judaism and paganism to Christianity. These brought with them into the Christian schools of theology their Platonic ideas and phraseology” ( Cyclopaedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature, 1891, Vol. 10, “Trinity,” p. 553).

Additionally, the Romans worshiped a Tri-Une god. in Rome they were Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. In Babylonia and Assyria they were Anos, lllinos, and Aos. Among Celtic nations they were called Kriosan, Biosena, and Siva, and in Germanic nations they were called Thor, Wodan, and Fricco. (Auburn.edu, 2018).

"The formulation 'one God in three Persons' was not solidly established ... into Christian life ... prior to the 4th century.... Among the Apostolic Fathers, there has been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective."(11)

Additionally, "The book World Religions From Ancient History to the Present indicates that today's belief in the Trinity evolved over many years of heated political argument." (Auburn.edu, 2018).

Thus, Tertulian (ca. A.D. 145-220) is not any of the original writers of the Gospels nor in any way whatsoever "inspired" by God. To say or even insinuate the he is or was, is indeed a heresy. (Encyclopedia Britanica Editors, 2018). To quote him as the orginator and or give him credit for the doctrine of the Trinity, as Safarti argues, is simply, indeed a heretical fact. (Auburn.edu, 2018). *

The Trinity of God was not established by Christ, nor was it to be interpreted as such. Jesus made it very clear that He was NOT God. Proof of that is the above scripture from Mark 10:17-22 .

There is a plethora of scriptures to verify the fact that God is ONE God and not three-in-one deity as was originally believed by the Egyptians and the pagan world of the Greeks and others. (Beyond Today, 2018).

Our desire to sustain the truth of science and Biblical Truths is the only motivation behind our publications. It is in not way intended to antagonize any of our loved brothers who may sincerely, and benignly, but unknowingly belief that one or two popular beliefs are non scriptural at all.

Auburn University makes the point completely transparent when it says The search for basic truth deteriorated into a widely accepted doctrine which was influenced, not by logic and biblical research, but by politics and human egotism. ". (Auburn.edu, 2018).

Footnotes:

* Sometime before 210 Tertullian left the orthodox church to join a new prophetic sectarian movement. When "Tertulian joined Montanism, also called Cataphrygian heresy, or New Prophecy, a heretical movement founded by the prophet Montanus that arose in the Christian church in Phrygia, Asia Minor, in the 2nd century. Subsequently it flourished in the West, principally in Carthage under the leadership of Tertullian in the 3rd century. It had almost died out in the 5th and 6th centuries, although some evidence indicates that it survived into the 9th century. The Montanist writings have perished, except for brief references preserved by ecclesiastical writers. The chief sources for the history of the movement are Eusebius’ Historia ecclesiastica (Ecclesiastical History), the writings …"

*The book World Religions From Ancient History to the Present indicates that today's belief in the Trinity evolved over many years of heated political argument. The book states:

The great Arian controversy of the fourth century, which split the Church in two, stemmed from the preaching .... that the Son was a created being who did not eternally exist and, therefore, was a sort of demi-god, subordinate to the Father.

The Emperor Constantine summoned the first General Council of the Church of Niceae, in 325, to settle this dispute and so reunify the Church. It condemned the teaching of Arius and produced a creed which declared that the Son is of one substance with and co-eternal with the Father.

Theodosius I convened the second General Council at Constantinople, in 381, which endorsed his definition of Catholicism, finally condemned Arianism .... and reaffirmed the Nicene Creed.

A further dispute arose between the monk Nestorius, patriarch of Constantinople in 428, and Cyril, patriarch of Alexandria about the two natures in Christ ....

There was ferocious argument ... in which Rome joined on the side of Alexandria against the pretentious claims of the upstart see of Constantinople. Thus politics entered into the dispute.

Once again the state intervened. The third general council of the Church at Ephesus, in 431, was called by the two emperors, Theodosius II of the East and Valentinian III of the West. It condemned Nestorianism, and Nestorius was exhiled to the Egyptian desert in 435 ....

[At] the final session .... the Catholic Church in East and West accepted what is known as the .... doctrine on the Trinity.

This statement of belief, together with other doctrinal definitions ... [has] ever since been accepted by Eastern and Western Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant Christians.(13)

* Please note that In "Bible manuscripts, God Almighty is referred to by the letters YHWH or JHWH, generally called the Tetragrammaton.

The Tetragrammaton appears in the Hebrew texts over 6,800 times and is transliterated as Yahweh. While many Bible translators prefer "Yahweh," some people use the English pronunciation is "Jehovah.". They both refer to the same One Name, One God. Never is the name of Jesus ever used, or mixed up with the sacred Tetragramaton in any of the Hebrew scriptures. http://www.auburn.edu/~allenkc/trinity.html
