AI Generated Images
The images on these pages were all generated using an online AI (Artificial Intelligence) Image Generator called Stable Diffusion. This service requests that you enter a 'prompt' - that is a textual description of a scene that you would like to see - and then it generates an unlimited series of scenes it thinks match your description, assembling them from its vast database of photographs, drawings and other graphic components gleaned from the whole Internet. The results are entirely its own and you can only affect them by re-wording your prompt, so it's difficult to define who exactly is the author of these images.
As a first test of Stable Diffusion I created three series of images, of food, cars and wild-life intended to satirise various TV programs, and was sufficiently surprised by the effect that I selected some of the most humorous ones to display here. I then went on to experiment with creating images that resemble paintings, by using 'in the style of' in the generating prompt.
