Computer flat screens are invading the pinball machines!
Ultrapins is one example of a pinball machines that has two flat screen monitors. No steel pinballs, or no mechanical switches, or electrical solenoids are used in these machines.
Hyperpin is the current favorite, since it offers a large variety of software choices
and a user friendly interface.
Or do it yourself pinball, such as Gooligan's Hooligans
Pictured below, was Williams attempt at combining video monitor with a pinball playfield.
This is a Revenge From Mars machine, that has been updated with the Nucore computer processor and software.
· Fotherby There was an interview where it was mentioned the next game will be lcd/led monitor vs having a dmd:
·
George Gomez Not with me. We might generalize in an interview about development but generally we dont talk about product plans until a game is launched.

George Gomez I like displays- Im the guy that did P2k but I strongly believe that the game is beneath the glass. I've also spent a large part of my career developing video games; all the way from the original arcade stuff in the late 70's early 80's to x360 & PS3- and im very aware of what it takes to create compelling video content. As you can see from these latest attempts, its a lot of work, time & money for peripheral info not related to the stuff under glass. If it doesn't remarkably affect your game under the glass, what are you willing to pay for it?

George Gomez We look at everything as a potential direction- its the nature of what we do. Integrating an lcd is not trivial and we wont do it until we feel that we can support it to a standard that satisfies us. In addition to the games we always have ongoing pure R&D; new processes, materials research, production methods, packaging, electronics, game concepts & mechanics of play.
