BATHS AND COMPRESSES

Liq plumbi subacetate 1%

Purified Water to 200mL

Aluminium Acetate solution 2.5%

Purified water to 200mls

Sodium bicarbonate 1 cup/bath

Boracic acid 1 teasp/pint

Oatmeal 1 cup Aveeno/tub

Uncle Tobys oats handful in panty hose in bath.

EAU D'ALIBOUR (D’Alibour’s water)

Cupric sulphate 0.5%

Zinc sulphate 4%

Camphor water 50%

Purified Water to 200mL

TEA COMPRESSES

4 teabags per 1 litre boiling water

brew then refrigerate

Use within 3 days (refrigerated)

BLEACH BATHS FOR ECZEMA

120ml plain (non-scented) 6% hypochlorite (domestos) bleach in nearly full-to-the-brim bath (200 L) with normal QV bath oil (not oilatum plus or QV flare up).

If half bath then use 60ml bleach.

If irritation develops, reduce quantity of bleach.

Soak for 10 minutes, three times weekly when bad.

Rinse off with a quick shower afterwards and apply emollient.

Keep bleach out of reach of children.

May bleach pyjamas, towels etc
