We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your cooperation. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please make every effort to cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else. Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice wastes practice time and deprives other patients of essential dental services.
It is your responsibility to attend all appointments which you make at the practice. If you fail to attend two appointments or give less than 24 hours’ notice when cancelling, we may ask you to seek NHS Dental Services elsewhere. Appointments do not have to missed consecutively. If you are a new patient or do not attend regularly, this may apply after the first missed appointment.
This does not affect your right to seek NHS dental services at another practice.

An FTA warning is included in our appointment cards and in our appointment reminder texts which are sent the day before an appointment.
1. The first time you fail to attend a booked appointment a warning will be given. (For new patients, no further appointment will be booked after the first FTA.)
2. After the second fail to attend, we will consider advising you to find another dental surgery.
3. Patients who are late for appointments: A common reason for the practice running late is that some patients do not attend on time. Please note, you may not be seen if you are late for your appointment by 10 minutes or more. Lateness of 10 minutes or more will also be regarded as an FTA (Fail to attend).
If you are late for your appointment, you may have to wait until the end of surgery to be seen. This is to ensure we run our appointments on time. Please make sure you are on time in the future.
