New York State Auto Insurance Requirements

All registered vehicles in NY State need to carry liability insurance coverage.

The minimum required coverage

 in New York State is

• $25,000 Bodily Injury coverage for one person injured ($100,000 recommended)

• $50,000 Bodily Injury coverage for all persons injured ($300,000 recommended)

• $10,000 Property Damage for other people's property damaged ($50,000 recommended)

• $50,000 Personal Injury protection (no-fault) for the insured's injuries

• $25,000/50,000 Uninsured Motorist coverage

Optional coverages include

• Comprehensive coverage for damages to your vehicle for other than a collision. This includes glass damage, vandalism, and objects falling onto the vehicle

• Collision coverage for damages to your vehicle caused by a collision.
