21. Edwards Landing - Ball's Bluff

You can access this trail network, along the Potomac River in Leesburg, from the Ball's Bluff parking lot, or from Edwards Landing Park, accessible from the end of Powhatan Court NE. The green Potomac Heritage Trail runs from Edwards Landing Park down to the river, and then upstream along the top of river bluffs in Ball's Bluff Battlefield Park. You can make a good loop hike by following the Orange Trail, Green (or Red) Trail, and Blue Trail back to Edwards Landing Park.  Someday, the trail may connect to other segments of the Potomac Heritage Trail going up- and downstream.
